Personally never cared about brand as long as they look clean and look good on the car. I've known various people that have had daytons back in the 90s as well as other brand of wires and almost all of them said daytons rode the worst. Maybe just their opinion but proved to me brand don't always mean that much.

I had 5 sets of old school daytons 13x7, 15x8 or 15x10 I bought from coys custom wheels in Denver CO back in the day and they came with red and white adapters and came right out of a sealed Dayton box. To me who cares about what you roll just get out there and have fun and hang out. You are always going to have haters they have been around even back in the 70 till now. You see it more due to social media but people just go out to have fun and keep crusin alive.

Oh Caliboy, Just watching this again. On your rebuilt Daytons, you can tell if the spokes are legit Daytons if the have a subtle smooth taper from thick to thin. Chinas have an abrupt taper transition its an obvious step . Daytons are smooth transitions. 👍🏽

Only thing I can say is that someone should start the Zenith name again for real and make stuff here All honesty; Zenith logo looks better 🤷‍♂️

I dont care about brand. It would be nice to have some daytons but its all good. I sold my set of chinas to get my set of roadsters. Chrome quality was much better on the roadsters and i just love the bolt on wheels cause you dont see em around too often. Nothing qrong with chinas my set i had was clean af but i rlly wanted that nice shiny chrome. The roadsters i came up on are almost flawless. I ended up getting another set of chinas anyways nothing wrong with it

and to me, it's not about other people noticing the stamp on the rim like you mentioned people cant tell when it's rolling. it's about me knowing what i got on there. same goes for fake watches, fake designer, sneakers, etc. most people won't be able to tell that it's counterfeit. only person that knows is the one wearing it. some people don't care, others do. it is what it is.

Me I always choose real dayton's or some 73 spoke cross lace type of spoke rims brand.

Learned a little bit from this. But that's why I never buy anything used or from some random seller. Always just go to the official company for whatever the product is. For me it's always mattered of having the real thing and nothing bootlegged. I don't care about if someone else has fake rim brands or whatever, long as their just enjoying it for the cruising and getting together with car people. I've been into lowrider since I was 3 maybe idk, and I just always have to have everything legit but that's just me. I won't speak on someone else's car that they paid and worked on hard. Just appreciate it and ride together.

I bought 14x7 💯 spokes Daytons back in late 90s from Discount Tire Co. They are stamped & came with Red & White adapters (I'm just saying). Chrome was an option but I'm good. At $1500 no tires I was making payments. I've rolled on caps also before & after my Dayton's. Like you say just get out there and Keep it Rolling. Keep doing what you doing. 👍😎

I also have saved many sets of wheels cleaned them resealed them and sold them. I have had US made luxor knockoffs from the 90s 72 spoke daytons and even McLean and keystone 5 spokes. I prefer US made wheels but will dip chinas also.

We live in a world full of brand whores my friend. For clothing it is pretty pointless but for things involving safety it is better to go for higher quality if possible, but no need to shame anyone on what they can afford.

I have Coker 520s and 14'' Cragars on my '70 Impala. If you roll China's, Daytons, Zeniths, Trus, Supremes, Starwires....at the end of the day you still riding regardless. Long as we hit the boulevard looking right, we always gon' shine!!!!
